Sassy Signs!

How many signs should I have for my sale?
We’ve found in our MANY garage sale endeavors-whether it’s having a sale, or going to one,
you NEED to have great signs! Why go thru all the work of pricing all your things and setting up,
if no one knows where to go?? At the MINIMUM…3 to 5 signs are the VERY best to get people to your sale!
Even if you put an ad in the paper, more people rely on signs then street addresses.
It’s also great if you have your sale at the same time as a few neighbors…more bang for your buck!!

How many signs should I put up for my Graduation party or For Sale by Owner?
It’s a good idea to have a sign in your front yard-with either the Graduates name on it or the
For Sale by Owner Open house hours. Additional signs on any busy side streets. cross streets or anywhere
you think a lot of people will see it!

Where to place your signs?
You should always start with one at the end of your driveway…(if you only knew how many garages
we drove up to and “thought” it was a sale, but really it was spring cleaning of the garage!!)
A sign should be at the END of your street, one at the main crossing or intersection from your
street-if you have two entrances to your street it’s best to put a sign on each end.
And then wherever there is A LOT of traffic….throw up a sign- they will come!!!

Do you need to check with your local ordinances?
Absolutely, each city has different ordinances with signs so it’s good to check with them,
as well as asking your neighbors if it’s ok to place a sign on their property!
Remember: SIGN RESPONSIBLY

Do I need to use matching signs?
In our opinion, people follow signs that go together, that’s why we designed all our
yard sale and garage sale signs to match the blank arrows. You can mix and match the arrows
with the other signs. People tend to follow color….so, if all the signs match- go crazy, have fun.
We like to use the blank arrows on the side streets and use the YARD SALE or GARAGE SALE
on the main busy streets. That way people know that you’re having a sale!

Why the pinwheel?
Yeah…. we like it! We think its kinda fun, our husbands think we’re nuts!
But, hey- WE are the Garage Sale crazies and WE know what get’s us to the sales…so, WE like them

Really, if you don’t want to use it on your sign…who cares-give it to your kids!!
Just remember, please tape the pinwheel stick to the inside of the sign so it doesn’t fly away!

Last but not least…
PLEASE don’t forget to take your signs DOWN!! Especially these Sassy Signs!!!
If you don’t take them down, the city will!
